CJC Durham Peace Walk

We will announce a new date and time soon.

We welcome all friends, family and neighbors to join us in honoring our communities and our sacred waters with a 12 mile walking pilgrimage. We will walk through Durham's national historic Holloway Street district to the Falls Lake reservoir.

This age-old intergenerational practice combines resistance against the war on our peoples and our planet with real community-building around issues that impact us all: a stable climate and clean abundant water. We will connect our experiences each step of the way, highlighting the urgency to use our voting rights to protect the well-being of all. We end the day with a free community meal and celebration at Rolling View Community Center at Falls Lake. Why just stand for something when you can walk your talk this election season?
